Borderlands' Tiny Tina DLC is now standalone and gratis from the Epic store

Tiny Tina'due south Assault On Dragon Keep was originally a Borderlands two DLC, only now it'south available as a standalone release called Tiny Tina's Attack on Dragon Proceed: A Wonderlands I-shot Chance. It functions as a taster of what's to come up in its successor, Tiny Tina'south Wonderlands, due next yr.

While Dragon Keep will cost monies on Steam, it's bachelor for free on the Epic Games Shop for a week.

You tin head to its Epic Games Store to nab information technology for free someday between now and 4pm on November 16th. Afterward that - and on Steam right at present - it'll toll £viii/€10.

Assault On Dragon Keep is substantially a fantasy spin-off of Borderlands, ready inside a game of in-world TTRPG called Bunkers & Badasses. You're nevertheless using guns, merely now to shoot at fantasy creatures, and its story uses the meta-narrative to poke fun at a lot of fantasy tropes with typical Borderlands style. (I would ascertain that style every bit: "loud".)

I'm curious how it holds up. This re-release of Dragon Proceed is evidently much the same every bit the original, but with "brand-new boodle and cosmetics." A lot of the appeal and praise for the original release was that it felt like it did more and went farther than a typical slice of DLC, however. Removed from that context, I wonder how it feels.

Likewise, I wonder how Tiny Tina'southward Wonderlands will feel when it obviously takes the ideas of Dragon Keep and gives them the full-game treatment side by side yr. Information technology's due for release on March 25th, 2022.
